Very nice book , Pretty designs and informative descriptions . Thick and perforated pages for easy display after coloring or other craft projects !
Wonderful coloring book. I love it.
This is a wonderful book. I love the descriptions of each drawing, this book is very educational and fun. Great for kids and those into art!
What a great quality book. Unlike other colouring books, it is educational as the meanings behind the designs are explained , clearly. A lovely book.
The information presented in this book is great! Each design is explained and if you want to remove the design from the book (once it is colored) it is very easy to do so. This would be a great resource for any classroom.

The “Pinecone Patchwork” derives its name from the longleaf pinecone, when looking at the bottom of a pinecone you can find this design. Our elders of the past and present weave these beautiful designs in quilts while hosting quilting bee’s in their communities. Henry Berry Lowrey's daughter, Maggie hand made a quilt using the Pinecone Patchwork design. Hayes A. Locklear, artist and historian and Kat Littleturtle were inspired by the quilt and designed and made a southern style dress for Natasha Wagner a former Miss Indian World in 1993. Today our Lumbee Princesses wear the Pinecone Patchwork insignia on their traditional regalias during Pow-wows across the Nation. In 2000 Cyna's Jewelers fashioned the Pinecone Patchwork into contemporary jewelry with the idea that all people could wear a piece of Lumbee history. This beautiful design has become a symbol that has helped revitalize the rich heritage of the Lumbee people. Robeson County, North Carolina is the “Land of the Lumbee.”
Preserving our heritage through our jewelry.
