It is a historical fact that the Pinecone Patchwork has been used by our American Indain ancestors in Southeastern North Carolina since the 1800's. Henry Berry Lowry's daughter, nicknamed Polly hand made a quilt using the Pinecone Patchwork design (see below). You may see this quilt on display at the UNC Pembroke, Old Main Museum.
